Port services offered at Holyhead, but not limited to the following:

  • Pilotage - Full port pilotage services are available 24hrs/day by arrangement.
  • Pilot/crew transfer - Launch available for the transfer of passengers/crew to/from passing & anchored vessels.

  • Tug services - Damen 1906 general purpose harbour tug, 25T bollard pull with crane & towage capability - Can also transfer 12 passengers to/from passing and anchored vessels.
  • Work Boat - Hire of work boats can be arranged. Sizes vary from 15ft safety boat to 40ft.
  • Bunkering - M.D.O + H.O by arrangement
  • Fresh water supplies - available on some berths.
  • Fishing - Dedicated fish dock offers ice supply, fuel supply, pontoon and quay-wall berths.
  • Cranes - 1 x Coles 50t & 1 x Coles 12t, larger cranes can be arranged to order.
  • Forklift trucks - A number of these are available ranging from 2t - 16t.
  • Haulage vehicles - A large fleet of Ro/Ro tractors available on site.
  • Stevedores - Fully trained in-house staff are available to work on all types of cargo.
